Sugar Land Rates Among Top 10 Suburbs

Riverstone - Sugar Land Rates Among Top 10 Suburbs

April 27, 2017

Sugar Land has added another top-10 ranking to its long list of accomplishments, this time for being one of Texas’ top 10 suburbs.

The popular Fort Bend municipality ranked No. 9 on Niche.com’s annual “Best Suburbs to Live in Texas” list. The well-known online review site rated communities based on cost of living, quality of schools, job opportunities, low crime rate and local amenities.

Niche.com notes that the median household income of residents is double the national average at $105,000 per year. The median home value is high with 82 percent of all residents owning their homes. The site awarded Sugar Land “A+” grades for its schools, diversity, job opportunities and family lifestyle.

The high marks are easy to understand. Sugar Land is located 20 miles southwest of downtown Houston and is home to major employers such as Aetna US Healthcare and Fluor Corporation.

Excellent Fort Bend ISD schools, such as Riverstone’s on-site Anne Sullivan Elementary School, provide students with a world-class education. The newly opened Smart Financial Centre and the Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Center in Sugar Land provide fun for all ages.

Premier shopping and dining at Sugar Land Town Square means residents have no need to drive into Houston for access to upscale stores and gourmet restaurants.

Riverstone — itself ranked one of the top-selling communities in Texas — offers residents both a Sugar Land address and a Sugar Land lifestyle with numerous world-class amenities, beautiful parks and trails and a wide range of home choices. Get started on your home search today.
