GHBA names Woodforest Best-of-Best in 2 Categories

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX (Oct. 8, 2013) - Woodforest, a project of The Johnson Development Corp., won two Houston’s Best PRISM awards in the annual Greater Houston Builders Association (GHBA) competition Saturday.

The development won for Direct Mail Piece of the Year and Print Ad of the Year, both promoting last year’s Circus in the Forest grand opening event for Woodforest’s new model home park. Woodforest was a finalist in two other categories, Internet Marketing Campaign of the Year and Radio Commercial of the Year — Developer.

“It is always gratifying to be honored among a field of such notable peers,” said Kristi Steward, Woodforest’s marketing director. “We are very proud of the work surrounding Circus in the Forest. Not only was the event a success, but the marketing materials also helped capture the essence of the community.”

Working with Woodforest on the winning pieces were Baker One Design, Katy Bomar Creative and Total PR.

The GHBA has honored the area’s top residential real estate newsmakers through the Houston’s Best PRISM Awards for more than 30 years. Participation soared this year, with developers, builders and other industry professionals submitting more than 660 entries to the competition, an increase of 39 percent compared to last year.
