Experts Agree, Scarecrow Festival is the Event of the Year

Cross Creek Ranch - Experts Agree, Scarecrow Festival is the Event of the Year

October 12, 2017

We’re so excited and we just can’t hide it! The Greater Houston Builders Association recognized the Fulshear Scarecrow Festival at Cross Creek Ranch with the prestigious Event of the Year award.

The GHBA Houston’s Best PRISM Awards recognize excellence in sales, marketing and development for the Houston homebuilding industry over the past year.

We were recognized for the 2016 Scarecrow Festival which took more than 5,000 people on a journey to the Final Funtier, celebrating the 50th anniversary of Star Trek with a creative tribute that raised $25,000 for Arts Fulshear and the Texana Center.

In addition to a scarecrow-decorating contest themed “Scarecrows: The Next Generation,” we treated everyone to an old-fashioned fête that included pumpkin decorating, apple bobbing and carnival rides. A children’s costume parade, food trucks and performances by local organizations were enjoyed by everyone.

Winning the award is an honor, but we don’t plan great community events like these for prizes, we do it because we love our residents and the Fulshear community!

Don’t miss the 2017 Scarecrow Festival happening on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 6450 Cross Creek Bend Lane. This year, the festival will be lighting the torch for the “Scarecrowlympics” where competitors have been challenged to create sports-themed straw champions.

The festival is free and open to the public; however, all-day carnival tickets are $10 per person for unlimited rides, sponsored by BMW of West Houston. Proceeds will again benefit Arts Fulshear and the Texana Center.

Make sure to come out for what is sure to be YOUR event of the year!
