Houston's Most Active Developer Johnson Development Corp.

Johnson Development finds itself at the top of yet another industry list — this one a tally of the most active residential real estate developers in Houston!

Released by the Houston Business Journal, this list is ranked by number of homesites developed in the Houston area between October 2016 and September 2017. Johnson Development easily came in at No. 1 with 2,714 new lots introduced during that timeframe — approximately 20 percent ahead of the company ranking second.

With so much going on, it’s easy to see why Johnson Development took the top spot — home sales began in the company’s 14^th Houston-area development and many Johnson communities welcomed the addition of new neighborhoods and new builders as they tried to meet buyer demand.

Earlier in the year, Johnson Development had more communities ranked among the nation’s best-selling than any other developer with six listed on the report compiled by Robert Charles Lesser & Co. They were Riverstone (ranked No. 1 in Houston), Cross Creek Ranch, Harvest Green, Sienna Plantation, Viridian and Woodforest.
