Costumes, Cocktails and Support for CASA

Trinity Falls - Costumes, Cocktails and Support for CASA

October 26, 2017

At Trinity Falls, we believe in supporting the community. Not just our community, but the greater McKinney area that we are so lucky to be a part of. Which is why we are so pleased to have pledged $10,000 to host the 2nd Annual Costumes & Cocktails event to help abused and neglected children affiliated with the Children’s Advocacy Center (CASA) of Collin County.

The invitation-only event is set for 7-11 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 28, and will include a costume contest, live entertainment, dancing, food and more. Guests are asked to bring items for the 2018 Voice for the Children Gala silent auction. The 2017 auction included items from last year’s Costumes & Cocktails and raised nearly $70,000 to support CASA of Collin County’s mission to train and support community volunteers to advocate for children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse or neglect.

While this is one of our biggest charity events yet, many of our events include a charitable component. We raised $500 for the ManeGait Therapeutic Horsemanship scholarship program during our Rodeo on the River festival and $1,000 to assist single mothers through Shiloh Place as part of our Shred, White and Blue event. We also matched donations up to $750 during the North Texas Giving Day on Sept. 14.

And we don’t just support charities through our own events. We are always happy to help during McKinney events, as well. We’ve sponsored the wine garden at the 2017 Arts in Bloom, the children’s tricycle race at the Bike the Bricks in downtown McKinney and most recently, the kids play zone at the McKinney Wine & Music Festival on Oct. 21.

It’s our way of giving back and setting an example of responsible stewardship. We are proud to be a part of the McKinney area and doing what we can to make it a better place for everyone living here.
