Trinity Falls - Costumes, Cocktails, Officers, Firefighters and More

December 06, 2017

Fire and ice — as personified by local police officers and firefighters — made an appearance at the 2nd annual Costumes & Cocktails event hosted by Trinity Falls, as part of an effort to support the Children’s Advocacy Center (CASA) of Collin County’s biggest fundraiser of the year.

The public servants were there to celebrate the reveal of the CASA 2018-2019 Fire & Ice 18 Month Calendar, featuring representatives from local police and fire departments. The volunteer models were drawn from Allen, Frisco, McKinney, Plano, Prosper and Wylie.

Fire and ice is the theme of the 2018 Voice for the Children Gala, which raises funds to support CASA of Collin County’s mission to train and support community volunteers to advocate for children. The event will be held April 21.

During the Costumes and Cocktails event, attendees were asked to bring items for the Gala’s silent auction. The 2017 auction included items from last year’s Costumes & Cocktails and raised nearly $70,000. This year, attendees donated $2,000 worth of items for the auction. Guests also enjoyed a costume contest, live entertainment, food and dancing.

We pledged $10,000 to host the event as part of our ongoing efforts to support the community we are lucky to be a part of. In the past, we have also sponsored the wine garden at the 2017 Arts in Bloom, the children’s play area at the Bike the Bricks in downtown McKinney and the kids zone at the McKinney Wine & Music Festival. Most recently we were a sponsor for this year’s “Home for the Holidays...A McKinney Christmas.”
