Grand Central Park - DICK’s Sporting Goods Celebrates Grand Opening Oct. 25-27

October 25, 2019

Get ready to gear up for outdoor fun as DICK’s Sporting Goods celebrates its grand opening at 366 Marketplace in Grand Central Park this weekend Oct. 25-27. A celebration that includes the chance to meet Houston running back Lamar Miller.

The 45,000-square-foot store, located at 251 S. Loop 336 West, will feature an assortment of sports equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories for sports and outdoors enthusiasts.

Miller will make his special appearance from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26. Miller will be signing autographs. Fans must have a wristband, which will be distributed on a first-come, first served basis.

On Sunday, kids ages 6 to 15 can participate in the Ready, Set, Roll! challenge. Prizes will be awarded to all who complete the course, which challenges their strength, agility and speed.

A variety of activities, giveaways and prizes are scheduled for each day of the three-day celebration.  On Friday, Oct. 25, the first 100 people in line will receive a free Adidas t-shirt. Prizes such as Brooks running shoes and a Gatorade prize package will be given away throughout the day.

Gift cards will be given to the first 100 people in line on Saturday and Sunday. The amount on the cards is a mystery but at least one will be worth $500.

Throughout the celebration, adults can enter a drawing to win prizes such an autographed Houston photo, a pair of Flyte shoulder pads and more. For more about the event, click here.

We’re very excited as this will be the first DICK’s Sporting Goods location in Conroe, making it easy for our residents to pick up hiking shoes to traverse our trails, tennis balls their dogs can fetch in Frisky Biscuit Dog Park and gear for all of their kids’ sporting needs.
