Already got your Christmas tree decorated and your holiday lights lit? Then it’s time to add to the fun by choosing from an array of local activities guaranteed to make your holidays merry and bright. Many of them are just a sleighride away from Harvest Green.

All events will be following COVID guidelines, so mask up and head out for some holiday fun!

Movies At Wessendorff Park
Historic Richmond
6-7:30 p.m. Fri., Dec. 4
Free

Bring lawn chairs, blankets and a picnic to the park and enjoy a showing of the movie “Home Alone,” as well as a Sno-Ball food truck and another food truck. 

Miracle on Morton Street
Historic Richmond
10 a.m.-4 p.m. Fri.-Sat., Dec. 4 and 5
Free

Morton Street will be lined with merchants to tend to your every Christmas gift need. While shopping, enjoy entertainment, holiday decorations, food trucks, a Kids’ Zone and a chance to mail letters to Santa at the downtown post office.

Rosenburg Holiday Nights: A Small Town Christmas Experience

Experience a small-town Christmas packed with holiday fun. On Dec. 3, watch the City of Rosenberg light the Christmas tree. Special events will include entertainment, food vendors, merchant sales and specials, kid’s stocking and personal protective equipment (PPE) giveaways, holiday performances, live music and a visit from two of Santa’s reindeer! Event attendees will also have a chance to win $500 in Downtown Merchant Cash, as well as other prizes. 

George Ranch Christmas in the Park

Free with admission, reservations required

Day camp and enjoy an 1830’s campfire, sip a traditional Mexican hot cocoa and listen to the music of singing cowboy Smokey Culver. Families also can learn how to make spiced Christmas cookies, Victorian ornaments and participate in a traditional 1930’s house party — complete with a barber shop quartet.

The light-filled holiday extravaganza returns with even more lights and themed events than ever before including a carnival, eight themed areas, light shows every hour synced up to music, a make-your-own s'mores pit, visits with Santa Claus and more.

 Enjoy frosty fun ice carving demonstrations, ice skating presentations and snowflake flurries.

Come out for a special concert with local musicians playing country western, pop, jazz, rock and rhythm and blues holiday tunes.

Santa’s Sunday Workshop

 Have brunch with Santa at socially distanced tables. Your family can order from local eateries and children can get crafty with holiday-themed activities.

Travis HS Orchestra + Free Carriage Rides

The Travis High School Orchestra plays your favorite tunes plus you can take part in free, festive carriage rides from 6-9 p.m.

Santa's MAGI-SPHERE

 The jolly old elf, himself will be beamed through a magical holographic snow globe — in real time — so children of all ages can safely visit Santa.
