The time to sign your kids up for summer camp has arrived. Whether they love sports or aspire to a career on the stage, there is a camp sure to spark your children’s interests. Not sure what to choose? Our young Cross Creek Ranch residents have a few favorites they’d like to share with you:

Charged-Up for Fulshear Sports Summer Camp

Leaman Junior High and Fulshear High School will be the sites for a variety of sports-related summer camps. Choose basketball, tennis, soccer, volleyball or track. In most cases, campers will work with local high school coaches, junior high coaches and student athletes to improve skills and have fun.

Aspen Tennis Academy

Times vary, weekly June 14-July 29
Ages 5+
$195 per week

Kids will love spending time practicing their backhand at this camp customized to their age and ability. Classes are held at Jordan High School in Cross Creek Ranch.

School of Rock, Katy

Children can learn to write their own songs or explore the blues during these popular music camps. Camps fill quickly, so sign up soon.

Summer Splash Horse Riding Camp

Paloma Trails, Katy
8:30-noon half-day, 8:30-4:45 full day, Mon.-Fri., June 1-26

Kids will learn to care for horses while taking riding lessons, participating in small group activities and doing those all-important barn chores.

Funtastik Labs, Katy

Turn your child loose in a custom STEAM lab and watch them learn. Kids will learn math and science while having fun at weekly themed half- and full-day camps. Themes include The Wizard School, Crazy Chemistry, Future Doctor’s Camp, Mission to Mars, and more.

Pinot’s Palette, Katy

$225 for the full week, $55 per day

Budding artists will create their own masterpieces in a fun-filled environment led by professional artists.

Katy Gymnastics and Sports Performance

9 a.m.-3 p.m. Mon.-Fri.
Ages 4+ Begins June 1
$195 per week or $60 per day

Kids will tumble into fun with gymnastics, obstacle courses, games, skits, crafts, water activities, foam pit, trampolines, movies, and more.

Drama Kids, Katy

Times vary by camps, Mon.-Fri., June 21-Aug. 7
Ages 6-15, depending on camp
Half-day: $175, full day: $275

Kids can act up all summer long while learning the art of improvisation, adapting fairy tales for the stage, crafting masks and more. Each week offers a different theme including Fun with Fables, Camp Hollywood, Hollywood Whodunit Mystery and Inspiration Playhouse Camp.
