Why is our favorite letter of the alphabet “F”? Because F is for fall and for festival! Put them together and you have a recipe for autumn fun! Check out all of the fascinating fall fun you can have this month and next. (Did you see what we did, there?)

October

CASA Superhero Run & Fall Festival
7:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Sat., Oct. 30
$10 admission to Trail of Treats and Festival
 

Grand Central Park is the site of this year’s CASA Superhero Run. The first race starts at 7:30 a.m. The fun begins at 9 a.m. with a Trail of Treats and a Fall Festival. The festival features face painting, a petting zoo, bounce house, crafts, fall-themed photo area, vendor fair and much more! Kids walking the Trail of Treats will receive a trick-or-treat bag, cape and commemorative dog tag in addition to a cauldron full of sweets.

Montgomery Fall Festival
Noon-10 p.m. Sat., Oct. 16

$5-$20 presale, $10-$25 at the gate, $99 VIP admission

Montgomery’s first annual fall festival is bringing out local music sensations William Clark Green, Johnny Lee, Rick Trevina, Jeff Canada and Cooper Wade for a concert benefiting Running 4 Heroes. Guests also will enjoy a kids’ zone, petting zoo, pumpkin patch, food trucks, vendors and more.

Oktoberfest at Southern Star Brewing Company
Noon-10 p.m. Sat., Oct. 16
Free admission
 
Enjoy beer, German food and a cornhole tournament at Conroe’s favorite craft brewery. The four-game tournament benefits the Montgomery Choral Society. While sampling Southern Star beer and menu items from The Saur Kraut, enjoy live music by The Homebrewed Brass Ensemble.

 

P-6 Farms Fall Festival
10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sat. & Sun., through Nov. 7
$19.95 ages 3 and up
 

Pumpkins are the star of the show at P-6 Farms where families can spend the day picking them as well as riding the Ferris wheel, watching the pigs and miniature horses race, picking flowers, visiting with farm animals, exploring the corn maze and much more.

Halloween in the Park
3-6 p.m. Sat., Oct. 23
Free Admission
 

Conroe is hosting a family-friendly “spooktacular” Halloween celebration at Carl Barton Jr. Park. The entertainment includes carnival games, food, face painting and inflatables. At 7 p.m. set out your blankets and lawn chairs for an al fresco showing of Monsters University.

Pumpkin Bobbing 
6-8 p.m. Fri., Oct. 29
$10 ages 4-12
 

Bob for pumpkins instead of apples at the Conroe Aquatic Center Waterpark. Children ages 4-12 can jump in the water and grab one. A decoration station will be available to accessorize the pumpkins once they’ve dried off.

7-Acre Wood Thrill at the Mill
10 a.m.-3 p.m. Sat., Oct. 30
$6.50 admission
 

Conroe’s favorite fun zone is hosting its 21st annual Thrill at the Mill fall festival. Come out for the pumpkin patch and stay for the petting zoo, mini golf, giant Lego room, a vendor market and more. Hayrides, face painting, pony rides, paintball, train rides and food are available for an additional fee.

Conroe Music & Arts Festival
11 a.m.-9 p.m. Sat. & Sun., Nov. 6-7
Weekend pass $12 advance, $20 at gate. Children 12 and under free
 

Rising country music stars including Johnny Hayes, Jody Booth, Michael Lee Clemmer, The Georgia ThunderBolts and more will perform at Heritage Place Amphitheater while families enjoy fine art displays, a classic car show, the GO TEXAN Fresh Farm Market and the Taste of Texas Food Garden, with delicious cuisine and cold domestic and craft beers.

Turkey Trot 5K Run
8 a.m. Sat., Nov. 20
$20 registration, $25 after Nov. 1
 

Work off those pumpkin pie calories in advance at Conroe’s annual 5K. Runners of all ages will start and finish at Carl Barton, Jr. Park. Registration includes coffee, water, snacks, a T-shirt (not guaranteed after Nov 1st) and medals for the top three in each gender/age category.

Tree Lighting Ceremony
5:30 p.m. Tues., Nov. 30
Free
 
The City of Conroe will kick off the holiday season with the annual lighting of the Christmas tree.
