Harvest Green - Please Welcome Our Newest ‘Crop Star’ — Anna Foju

October 29, 2025

With a passion for planting, a love for the outdoors, and strong roots in growing fresh produce, Anna Foju is sure to be a major “crop-star” on the Harvest Green Farm Team.

Anna’s farming journey began in her teens when she first rolled up her sleeves, got her hands dirty and discovered that nothing beats the taste of freshly picked produce.

“I’ve been growing veggies since high school when I started growing tomatoes in my parents’ backyard,” Anna said.

But Anna’s farming roots didn’t stop there. During the summer of 2024, she decided to branch out, traveling to Ohio, New York, and Maine to work on a variety of farms. Each stop along her journey gave her a chance to “turn-ip” her skills, deepen her appreciation for farm-fresh food, and grow her connection to the land.

“I love how freshly harvested food tastes,” she said, “and find the time I spend outside farming grounding and uplifting.”

Anna was drawn to Harvest Green because of its strong sense of community and dedication to cultivating fresh, high-quality produce.

“I’m really excited to continue to learn from the farm team and work alongside them,” she said. “And I’m looking forward to getting to know the Harvest Green residents as I assist them at the Veggie Wagon. “

What’s her favorite crop?

“I really love growing tomatoes and basil because they were the first veggies I grew by myself,” Anna said.

That’s a good thing because we grow a lot (and we mean a lot) of tomatoes.

Beyond her work at the Village Farm, you’ll likely see her assisting residents and Farmers Market visitors at the Veggie Wagon, where she’ll be sharing tips, swapping recipes, and celebrating all things farm fresh. For Anna, connecting with people over a shared love of fresh produce is truly the “root” of what makes farming so rewarding.
