We’re Tickled Pink! CURE-Ageous 5K Fun Run Raises $20,000

Cross Creek West - We’re Tickled Pink! CURE-Ageous 5K Fun Run Raises $20,000

November 17, 2025

This year’s CURE-Ageous 5K Fun Run was not only a fun-filled morning for a good cause — it was record-breaking, raising $20,000 for The IBC Network Foundation!

Approximately 350 runners, joggers and walkers cruised the streets of Cross Creek West Oct. 18, following a route through the community and past the new model home park, where homes were decked in pink. Participants and their supporters enjoyed free coffee and pastries from Revive Coffee, $100 gift cards from SkinSpirit and H-E-B goodie bags filled with post-race treats. Racers and families could pose for photo ops, and children enjoyed face painting. A DJ kept the vibe upbeat and moving.

“We were thrilled to have leaped past last year’s $15,000 mark and help The IBC Network further its mission,” said Cross Creek West Marketing Director Lauren Smith. “It was a fun, inspirational morning.”

The IBC Network is dedicated to educating the public about Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) and funding research for this aggressive form of cancer. Not characterized by lumps, IBC is difficult to diagnose, and most people who receive a diagnosis are already in Stage 4.

“Events like the CURE-Ageous 5K are wonderful for not just raising money but also raising awareness,” said Terry Arnold, Founder of The IBC Network and an IBC survivor. “The more people who learn about IBC, the more people who might be diagnosed earlier.”

A huge thanks to this year’s race sponsors: Hanis & Proft Orthodontics, Earthcare Management, Newmark Homes, Perry Homes, burn boot camp, ABHR, Blue Sky Marketing, Ethoscapes and META Planning and Design. Fulshear High School students also volunteered during the event.

The CURE-Ageous 5k Fun Run returns next year on Oct. 24. We hope to see you there!
