Jubilee - Jubilee Hosts Heartfelt Make-A-Wish Celebration Following Tour of TreesJanuary 27, 2026
Johnson Development celebrated the success of its first north Houston Tour of Trees event with a heartfelt gathering at Jubilee, honoring a dream come true for a very special 13-year-old. Wish Kid Samuel and his family joined Johnson Development team members and representatives from Make-A-Wish Texas Gulf Coast and Louisiana for a wish celebration party held at Jubilee’s newly opened co-working space. The event commemorated the family’s recent trip to Orlando, which was fully funded by proceeds raised during Tour of Trees. During the holiday season, Jubilee proudly participated in Tour of Trees, welcoming visitors into its model homes to experience the magic of extravagantly decorated holiday trees. Through the collective efforts of seven Johnson Development communities, the initiative reached its goal of donating $15,000 to Make-A-Wish, helping make Samuel’s lifelong wish a reality. “We wanted to celebrate the holiday season in a meaningful way—combining festive traditions with an opportunity to bring joy to an incredible young man and his family,” said Haley Peck, Vice President of Marketing for Johnson Development. “Hosting Samuel’s wish celebration at Jubilee made the moment even more special, as it reflects the heart of this community and its commitment to connection and compassion.” Samuel and his family spent a week in Orlando, where he met Mario and other beloved characters from his favorite video game and movie franchise. The trip included visits to Super Nintendo World at EPIC Universe and Disney World, creating unforgettable memories for the entire family. At the Jubilee celebration, the family shared photos from their adventure and were presented with a commemorative check and birthday gifts in honor of Samuel’s birthday the week prior. “This truly was a trip of a lifetime for Samuel,” said Michelle Mason, Director of Marketing and Communications for Make-A-Wish Gulf Coast and Louisiana. “We are incredibly grateful for Johnson Development’s partnership and for communities like Jubilee that help turn wishes into reality.” In addition to Jubilee, Tour of Trees featured participating communities including Grange in Katy, Grand Central Park in Conroe, Everly in Hockley, Kresston and Briarley in Montgomery, and Amira in Tomball. Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. The Gulf Coast and Louisiana chapter—one of 57 chapters nationwide—has granted more than 12,000 wishes since 1984 and achieved a record 650 wishes during fiscal year 2025. |
