Riverstone - Houston Area Homes are Hot!

CultureMap recently reported that sales of Houston homes are up 27 percent in July compared with a year ago, one of the largest increases on record. Fueled by a local economy that just posted the nation’s fastest job growth rate, homes sales are hopping, and not just resale homes.

Metrostudy reports new home sales in the overall Houston area are up about 35 percent for the first half of 2012. Riverstone’s sales stats are far above that area-wide average, with sales through late-August nearly double 2011 sales for the same time period.

With existing inventory in Houston at a tight 5.3-month supply and builders starting new homes at a robust pace — 27 homes started construction in Riverstone the past two weeks — the community expects new home sales to continue at a record-setting pace.
