Riverstone - Theater lovers, take note!

Already known for its abundant retail, job opportunities and community events and activities, Sugar Land might soon be known as a hotspot for concerts and other stage shows. City officials recently approved a letter of intent with ACE Sugar Land, LLC, for the development of a performing arts facility.

With extensions of University Boulevard through Riverstone opening later this year, residents will have quick access to the 6,500-square-foot venue, which will be located on a 21-acre tract near U.S. 59 and University Boulevard. The letter of intent is the go-ahead for programming and schematic design to begin on a signature facility that will be financially feasible and operationally self-sustaining. No opening date has been projected yet.

ACE Sugar Land, LLC,, is led by Allen J. Becker, Tony Award-winning producer and co-founder of PACE Entertainment Corporation.
