The Coop Park Now Open at Harvest Green

Harvest Green recently added to its extensive list of outdoor amenities, with the opening of The Coop, a 3.2-acre park and the community’s final planned amenity.

Designed by SWA and located in one of Harvest Green's newest sections, the park combines active recreation, relaxed spaces and the touch of whimsy that has become a hallmark of Harvest Green's outdoor amenities.

"The Coop gives residents another fun, welcoming place to get outside, spend time together and enjoy the Harvest Green lifestyle," said David Hogue, Vice President and General Manager of Harvest Green. "From a round of pickleball to a child's first ride around the bike track, this park was designed to encourage connection, activity and plenty of memorable moments."

The park offers several ways to play, with a playground, sports field, pickleball court, open lawn and covered pavilion. Unique features include a putt putt course and a dedicated children's bike path. Swings are galvanized steel with wooden slats.

The most eye-catching resident of The Coop may be its oversized metal rooster, a 6.5-foot-tall sculpture that centers the nine-hole putt putt course.

“We think the rooster might be the largest in Fort Bend County,” Hogue said. “Whether it is or not, it’s a celebration of Harvest Green's agricultural roots and gives the park a distinctive landmark.”

The new park joins the community's 130 acres of lakes and waterways, 470 acres of green belts and open space plus parks, playgrounds, trails and two recreation centers.

Seven builders have nine model homes currently open in Harvest Green, where homes are priced from the $470,000s to more than $1 million.
