Jubilee - Meet Our New Lifestyle Director, Soleil Rucker

Soleil Rucker, our new Lifestyle Director, believes she has a unique opportunity to help shape what it truly feels like to call Jubilee home — and she has the chops and plans to help her do it!

The University of Kansas graduate’s event planning journey began at school, where her Delta Delta Delta sisters voted her Director of Events. Her degree in mass communications and journalism also helps.

“My background in marketing and communications is one of the strongest skillsets I have that will help me in this role,” she said. “I’m super excited to make content and get creative.”

She fell in love with Jubilee the moment she drove in.

“I felt the ‘Joyful Neighborhood’ energy immediately,” she said. “There is real intention and focus from Johnson Development as they are growing the community. I believe there is a bigger vision behind Jubilee, and I see my role as helping bring that vision to life for the residents.”

She is also excited about growing alongside our residents as she gets to know them, learning their interests, listening to what they value, and creating experiences that reflect who they are. To do that she has a plan.

“My plan for the residents is to create a lifestyle that gives them something to connect to, not just something to attend,” she said. “I want to build signature traditions that become part of the Jubilee experience, while also creating smaller, more intentional opportunities for neighbors to genuinely get to know one another. As Jubilee grows, I want to help create traditions, relationships, and memories.”

She wants present and future residents to know that she is excited to be a part of the Jubilee community.

“I’m someone who loves bringing people together, creating memorable experiences, and making sure everyone feels welcomed and included. Most importantly, I want residents to know that I care. I’m excited to learn their names, get to know their families, celebrate milestones with them, and grow alongside Jubilee.”

When she isn’t planning events, you can find Soleil cheering on her favorite sports teams.

“From NFL, NBA, MLB to college football, I watch every Houston sports team’s games,” she said. “I’ve watched every Texans and Astros game for the last four years. If residents want to talk sports, come by my office – I’d love to chat!”

She is also into fitness and wellness with her favorite form of exercise being a heated Pilates class. The biggest piece of her heart belongs to her three cats and a dog.
