More Health Care Options Coming to Grand Central Park

Grand Central Park - More Health Care Options Coming to Grand Central Park

October 14, 2026

Finding the right community means thinking about more than floor plans and favorite kitchen finishes. Having medical care nearby is also part of feeling comfortable in your new home. Grand Central Park residents have good news on that front with a new Encompass Health rehabilitation hospital in our community and a new Kelsey-Seybold clinic nearby.

Encompass Health Rehabilitation Center in the Works

Encompass Health plans to open a new 24-bed, inpatient rehabilitation center at 869 City Central Avenue in Grand Central Park in Conroe that will operate as a satellite location of Encompass Health Rehabilitation Hospital of The Woodlands. Set to open late in 2027, it will also be the company’s first small-format inpatient rehabilitation hospital — a new model designed to complement traditional hospitals and extend care in growing North Houston communities.

The hospital will serve patients recovering from significant illnesses and injuries, including strokes, brain and spinal cord injuries, amputations, and complex orthopedic conditions. Patients will have access to 24-hour nursing care along with physical, occupational, and speech therapy delivered by a specialized care team.

Encompass Health also plans to build a new 60-bed replacement hospital on its existing campus in The Woodlands, with an anticipated opening in 2029. The facility will feature private rooms for every patient and enhanced amenities designed to support recovery.

Kelsey-Seybold Breaks Ground in Conroe

Healthcare options near Grand Central Park are growing in another way. Kelsey-Seybold has broken ground on a new multispecialty clinic at 11150 Interstate 45 S. in Conroe.

Slated to open in late summer 2027, the three-story facility will span approximately 51,500square feet. It is designed as a large, full-service primary care location with the ability to expand specialty services over time.

When it opens, the clinic will offer adult medicine and pediatric primary care. Plans call for a range of rotating specialties to be added, including OB/GYN, orthopedics, endocrinology, neurology, and more.

New Options Join Established Health Care Resources

The new facilities will join established health care resources serving Grand Central Park residents and the surrounding area, including HCA Houston Healthcare Conroe, Houston Methodist The Woodlands Hospital, Texas Children’s Hospital The Woodlands, and St. Luke’s Health — The Woodlands. Residents also have access to Houston Methodist’s Comprehensive Care Center in Conroe.
