Grange - Harvest Kitchen & Bakery: Comfort Food with a HeartOctober 14, 2026
The Story Behind Harvest Located at 336 S. Mason Road, Harvest brings creativity and a warm welcome to breakfast and lunch. The restaurant opened in 2020 with the vision of serving modern comfort food at a place where people feel cared for. That spirit is an integral part of Harvest’s personality with an emphasis on bringing people together around a good meal. Meet the Chef Behind the Menu Lori Pope is the chef behind Harvest’s menu. She ran a bakery in Katy for several years before making the decision to expand beyond baking sweet treats to focus on creating a full breakfast and lunch menu. Growing up as the daughter of missionaries in Mexico and the oldest of nine children, she took on the responsibility of planning menus, grocery shopping, and preparing meals all while developing a love for cooking and service along the way. To her, Harvest is more than a restaurant. It’s a sanctuary where love, passion, and pride infuse everything created there. Waffles Worth Waking Up For and More If you are firmly on team sweet breakfast, Harvest has some persuasive options. A Belgian Liege waffle comes topped with cream cheese, house-made lavender lemon curd, and fresh blueberries. Another features a crispy fried goat cheese medallion, blackberry compote, fresh basil, candied pecans, and toasted almond. Then there’s the Monte Cristo Breakfast, a battered and fried ham-and-cheese sandwich finished with powdered sugar and donut glaze. Raspberry marmalade and two eggs complete the plate. For those who prefer to build their own morning meal, the Harvest Breakfast lets diners choose four items served with buttered toast. An acai bowl offers a healthy option combining a frozen acai-and-berry base with toppings such as fruit, granola, coconut, and nut butter. Lunch with a Creative Streak Harvest’s imagination doesn’t clock out after breakfast. Chef Pope’s Magic Mushroom features fried portobello with mango salsa, smashed avocado, and cucumbers with an optional spicy sauce. The menu also includes burgers, albacore tuna salad, and other lunch selections. Gluten-free and vegan options are available. A Katy Favorite with Awards to Match Harvest has earned recognition from local diners. The Best of Katy 2026 listing shows first-place honors for Best Locally Owned Restaurant and Best Breakfast. These awards celebrate two things that make Harvest great — its place in the local community and its knack for turning breakfast into something special.
