Riverstone - Free Fair Helps Residents '€˜WATCH' their Health

February 18, 2013

Area residents can check bone density, have their children immunized and receive child identification cards at the 7th Annual WATCH Your Wellness Health and Fitness Fair 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, March 2, at Sugar Land Town Square.

The free event is the annual start to Fort Bend ISD’s WATCH (Weight, Activity, Tobacco, Cholesterol and Hypertension) Week, a heart health awareness program that runs March 4-8.

Activities during the Saturday wellness fair include bone density, blood pressure and blood glucose screenings; student immunizations; cooking demonstrations; child identification cards; fire safety presentations; and giveaways.  Children can even bring their favorite stuffed animals to have them checked at Kelsey-Seybold’s Teddy Bear Clinic. Radio Disney and Fort Bend student groups will provide the day’s entertainment.
