Riverstone - Riverstone Builder Takes On 2014 HomeAid Houston Project Playhouse

November 26, 2013

McGuyer Homebuilders, Inc., (MHI), is partnering with HomeAid Houston on the 2014 Project Playhouse.

The local builder, which markets under Plantation Homes and Coventry Homes in Houston, is designing and building next year’s playhouse, a fantastic, amenity-laden structure that is auctioned to raise money to build transitional housing for Houston’s homeless. The 2013 design was a futuristic “playship” inspired by the Houston Astros’ new mascot, Orbit.

“We are working on the theme for this next playhouse and can’t wait to get started,” said James Miller, MHI region president. “These over-the-top playhouses stretch the imagination and delight adults as well as children when they are unveiled during baseball season. And, of course, proceeds benefit a very important cause.”

Each year, members of the Greater Houston Builders Association donate materials, labor and services to build the playhouse, which is toured throughout Houston and displayed during several Houston Astros games.

McGuyer Homebuilders was founded 25 years ago and is ranked the area’s second-largest homebuilder by the Houston Business Journal. For more information, visit www.plantationhomes.com and www.coventryhomes.com
