Riverstone - Emergency Care Center Breaks Ground Near Riverstone

December 23, 2013

Health care is moving even closer to Riverstone, with a new 9,600-square-foot emergency care center on Highway 6 that will open next summer.

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital broke ground on the facility, which will be located between Riverstone and sister community Sienna Plantation, this month.

The center will have 10 treatment rooms equipped with the latest  diagnostic imaging equipment and will offer faster access to inpatient care at the main hospital campus, located on Highway 59.

Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital was established in 1998 as a branch of The Methodist Hospital in Texas Medical Center and serves Fort Bend and the surrounding communities. The hospital has 18 operating rooms, 243 beds and has been designated a Center of Excellence for cardiology, oncology, orthopedics, women's services, neurosciences and urology. Fortune magazine has named the hospital one of the top 100 best companies to work for in the country.
