Harvest Green - Kick Off the Summer at Harvest Green's Memorial Day Cook-Out, May 30

Winter is over and spring has sprung, time to get a jump on summer with a Memorial Day Cookout at Harvest Green.

The public is invited to join residents noon to 3 p.m. Monday, May 30, at the Fort Bend community’s model home park for a star-spangled celebration with a DJ, games, prizes, children’s activities and a waterslide. Participants can bring their own food and beverages or purchase mouthwatering barbecue from the Harlem Road BBQ food truck. A Kona shaved ice truck also will be on hand to dispense free flavored treats.

Harvest Green offers residents a number of fun-filled events, planned by the community’s full-time on-site lifestyle director, Sylvia Morgese. Upcoming events include a coffee tasting and origin class, a tomato festival and movie nights. Gardening classes, farm-to-table dinners with guest chefs and wine tastings are in the works.
