Riverstone - LJ Parkway Opens to Commonwealth Boulevard

Riverstone residents have an important new alternative route through Sugar Land with the recent opening of LJ Parkway to Commonwealth Boulevard.

The section, about a third of a mile, meets Commonwealth just north of Palm Royale Boulevard. The roadway allows travelers to access Austin Parkway, Sweetwater Boulevard and Lexington Boulevard without driving on Highway 6.

The 3.6-mile LJ Parkway, named after Johnson Development Corp. Founder Larry Johnson, is a main artery through Riverstone. It merges with Sienna Springs Drive in Sienna Plantation, another Johnson Development community, connecting with Sienna Parkway near the Fort Bend Parkway.

“As this area of Fort Bend County continues to grow, it’s reassuring for all residents to have alternatives for traveling throughout the area,” said Trey Reichert, vice president and general manager of Riverstone.
