Woodforest - Woodforest Hosts Multi-Family Garage Sale Aug. 26-27

Bargains of every shape and size await thrifty shoppers in Woodforest, as the master-planned community is hosting its annual fall garage sale Friday and Saturday, Aug. 26 and 27.

More than 100 residents are expected to participate in the community-wide event, open 8 a.m. to noon each day. Sales will be held at individual homes throughout Woodforest. Maps of participating homes will be available at the Homefinder Lodge, 101 Elk Trace Parkway.

“Fall is the perfect time for our families to clean out their closets,” said Tori Whelan, lifestyle director for Woodforest. “They are putting away summer items, preparing for the holidays and making space by clearing out gently used clothes, furniture and other household items.”

A shredding mobile will be at the garage sale 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, giving residents and visitors a chance to dispose of old paperwork. Shred Day is sponsored by Forest Home Team Realtors.

Woodforest, Montgomery County’s most active master-planned community, holds two community garage sales a year, once in the fall and then again in the spring.

The development is located approximately seven miles west of Interstate 45 and five miles north of The Woodlands.
