Woodforest - Kiddie Academy of Woodforest Now Open

Kiddie Academy of Woodforest, the development’s first on-site child care center, is open.

The educational daycare center, located at 740 Fish Creek Thoroughfare, offers full- and part-time child care, before and after school, for children ages six weeks to 12 years.

Kiddie Academy’s proprietary Life Essentials® curriculum focuses on age-appropriate social and emotional character education, and physical and cognitive outcomes that are aligned to state standards.

Two-year olds, for example, practice simple writing skills, participate in family-style dining and learn about honesty, while 4-year-olds learn to recite poems and share stories, as well as learning to identify their feelings and learn about generosity. Even infants are exposed to learning opportunities such as playing peek-a-boo and practicing rolling over. Each age grouping has its own classroom, learning centers and playground.

In addition, the nationally networked franchise offers summer camp programs and music classes.

The 10,500-square-foot facility, is designed to accommodate 200 children within 11 classrooms equipped with the latest technology. Parent-teacher communication will be enhanced with electronic daily progress reports and pictures. Parents will be able to see what their children are doing at any time by logging into the Kiddie Academy webcam.
