Harvest Green - Star Chef Returns for Harvest Green Farm-to-Table Dinner Dec.3

November 30, 2016

Star chef Adam Garcia returns to Harvest Green Saturday, Dec. 3, to serve up an al fresco dinner in the middle of the community’s Village Farm.

The event takes place from 6-9 p.m. with Chef Garcia, formerly of Coltivare and The Pass and Provisions, crafting a delicious four-course meal featuring seasonal vegetables grown in Harvest Green.

Previously, Chef Garcia created a spectacular VIP meal before the Richmond community’s inaugural Harvest Fest in November, followed by demonstrations at the farmers’ market.

The courses will be cooked in front of diners and include:

  • Appetizers of smoky eggplant dip and assorted vegetable bagna cauda.
  • An arugula and brassica salad with marinated baby beets, roasted purple Korean and Hayman sweet potato, pumpkin seed vinaigrette, croutons.
  • A course of roasted snapper with marinated vegetables, turnip green salsa verde and romesco.
  • A course of short rib pasta with maitake mushrooms, parmesan and pickled red onion.
  • Side dishes of roasted root vegetables couscous with bitter greens and lemon and farro and black rice with autumn vegetables.

Each course will feature a drink pairing, enhancing the dining experience. Resident tickets are $75; non-resident cost is $100 per ticket. Guests should take into account the evening temperatures and the fact that the dinner will be served outdoors when deciding on attire. Spaces are limited.
