June 23, 2017

Get more eagles and fewer bogeys with a little help from the new state-of-the-art training complex at the Woodforest Golf Club

The facility, which opened in May, is 2,800 square feet indoors and another half-acre outdoors. The indoor component comprises three dedicated instruction bays, one bay for club fitting and an area for training, fitness and rehabilitation. A large grass tee for instruction offers a 105-foot synthetic turf. There is also a practice target green.

The latest equipment for swing analysis including Trackman, Swing Catalyst, Boditrak Sports, V1 Sports, Blast Sports and Foresight will be available to refine your backswing. The fitting area will feature clubs from PING, Titleist, Mizuno, TaylorMade, Callaway and PXG and an unlimited selection of shafts and grips.

Beyond the technical, golf instructors will offer information on conditioning, diet and nutrition

Voted Best in The Woodlands, Woodforest Golf Club is a nationally recognized 27-hole facility that has a reputation for offering one of the top golf courses in all of Texas.

The new golf training complex is part of a combination of practice facilities not rivaled in Houston that includes a driving range, short-game chipping and pitching area, a 13,000-square-foot chipping/putting green and another 18,000-square-foot putting (only) green in addition to all the new complex offers.

Private and group instruction is available along with the AXIS Golf Academy. PGA professional Jon Baacke directs the Woodforest instructors on staff that features ladies and youth group lessons while Hodde plays the lead role for AXIS. All of the professionals on staff teach individual lessons as well.
