Our Schools Get High Marks

Harvest Green - Our Schools Get High Marks

November 19, 2017

Families love the fact that their children can walk to our three on-site Fort Bend ISD schools. We love that, too, but we also love that two of our schools recently received high marks on Niche.com’s 2018 lists of the best high schools and middle schools in Texas!

The online review site ranked Travis High School 156 (out of 3,709 high schools in Texas) on the “Best Public High Schools” list. Rankings are based on rigorous analysis of key statistics and millions of reviews from students and parents using data from the U.S. Department of Education. Ranking factors include state test scores, college readiness, graduation rates, SAT/ACT scores, teacher quality, and high school ratings.

Travis also ranked in the top 20 for Most Diverse High Schools in Texas and was listed at No. 118 out of 1,254 Texas schools for being one of the Best College Prep Public High Schools.

Bowie Middle School was ranked 116 out of 1,986 middle schools on Niche’s“Best Public Middle Schools in Texas” list. Scores are determined by state test scores, student-teacher ratio, student diversity, teacher quality, middle school ratings, and the overall quality of the school district.

Bowie offers a rigorous academic curriculum, as well as competitive sports programs and numerous extracurricular opportunities.

Congratulations to the teachers, students and staff! Click here to learn more about our outstanding on site schools, including newly opened Neill Elementary School.
