Trinity Falls - A Guide To Making The Most Of McKinney Trade Days

April 08, 2015

McKinney Trade Days is a long-standing tradition in our lovely city of McKinney, Texas. It dates back to the 1870s when folks would set up a market to sell and trade different types of goods. Now, it has grown to become one of the largest flea markets in north Texas! We've compiled a handy list for you so you can make the most of your day!

1. Since McKinney Trade Days only happens once a month, it gets pretty crowded. Arrive early to avoid circling the lots trying to find spaces.  Parking is free on Friday. You'll have to pay $5 to park on Saturday and Sunday up until 3pm. However, after 3pm, it's free as well.

2. Although a lot of McKinney Trade Days is outdoors, please leave your pet at home! It violates health code violations due to the goods sold at the market.

3. In the event that you purchase more than you can carry, feel free to borrow a cart from the office to take your treasures to the car.

4.  In case you lose an item, there is a lost and found in the office where you can look to see if it has been turned in. The office also has medical supplies and an intercom in case you get separated from your friends and family.

5. Puppies are sold at McKinney Trade Days. There are more than 25 breeders each month, so if you're looking for a specific breed, be sure to contact the office beforehand (972-562-5466).

McKinney Trade Days is open the weekend before the third Monday of the month. Hours of operation are from 8am-5pm on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Whether you're looking for a puppy or some new home goods, you will surely find what you are looking for among the 450+ vendors at each event every month!
