Trinity Falls - Johnson Development Names Trinity Falls General Manager

February 08, 2017

Johnson Development Corp. has hired Dallas real estate veteran Jim Baker as General Manager of Trinity Falls, the Houston-based developer’s newest Dallas-Fort Worth project.

Baker boasts a long tenure in land development, soliciting, negotiating and closing on more than $95 million in land deals that have a combined development value of more than $850 million. Prior to joining Johnson Development, he was the founding Principal for Black Canyon Advisors, a real estate consulting firm, and President of Marlin Atlantis White, a real estate land developer. While with Marlin Atlantis White, Baker handled entitlement work for Trinity Falls.

“The opportunity to return to Trinity Falls and be part of its continued development was hard to resist, as was the chance to work with Johnson Development,” Baker said. “Johnson Development is extremely well known in Houston and is considered one of the nation’s top developers.”

Baker also was Senior Vice President of Texas Operations for Newland Communities and Vice President/General Manager for Terrabrook.

“Jim’s level of experience is beyond par,” said Doug Goff, Chief Operations Officer for Johnson Development. “We are lucky to have him on board. His unique insight and expertise will shape Trinity Falls into one of D-FW’s premier master-planned communities.”

Situated along the East Fork of the Trinity River, the 1,700-acre Trinity Falls opened in 2014 and was acquired by Johnson Development and Tricon Capital Group in 2016. More than 400 families have closed on homes in the development, where home prices start in the $300,000s.
