Trinity Falls - Trinity Falls Hosts Chamber Ribbon-Cutting Event

March 06, 2017

Dozens of city officials, representatives of the McKinney Chamber of Commerce and others cheered Trinity Falls during a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony.

McKinney Mayor Brian Loughmiller spoke to the crowd Tuesday, welcoming Trinity Falls and its developer Johnson Development Corp. to the chamber, saying he is impressed with the community.

“You have fantastic luxury homes, a lot of affordable homes and I really like the streetscape — there is so much about it that’s really, really nice,” he said. “I appreciate the effort you’ve put into this development and I know it’s going to continue to grow and be successful.”

Community association manager Jamie Chamberlain echoed Loughmiller’s comments about Trinity Falls’ success, saying that on average, 23 families close on homes in the community every month.

“This is a sought-after community that people love to come home to,” she said. “In the past three years, we have planned more than 200 community lifestyle events. All of this and more has led to Trinity Falls being named ‘Master-Planned Community of the Year’ last year by the Dallas Builders Association.”

More than 400 families live in the 1,700-acre Trinity Falls, which offers homes priced from the $300,000s by Ashton Woods Homes, Beazer Homes, Emerald Homes, Gehan Homes, Highland Homes, Meritage Homes and Plantation Homes. Residents enjoy a range of amenities, including multiple parks and a playground, trails and a clubhouse with gathering space, a resort pool, kids splash zone and a pavilion anchored by a fireplace.

Future amenities will include more than 450 acres of open space with 20 miles of hiking-and-biking trails, an amphitheater overlooking the community lake, fishing piers and a disc golf course.

Trinity Falls opened in 2014 and in 2016 was purchased by Johnson Development Corp. and Tricon Capital Group, Inc. An estimated 4,200 families will live in Trinity Falls when it is complete.

The McKinney Chamber of Commerce has been serving the McKinney business community and the City of McKinney for 100 years and — with approximately 1,200 members — is the fifth largest chamber in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Trinity Falls is at the Sustaining Business Level, one of the highest membership levels within the chamber.
