Meet Mike Herman, Our New Director of Fun

Trinity Falls - Meet Mike Herman, Our New Director of Fun

October 26, 2018

How do we spell “fun” at Trinity Falls? Recently we started spelling it “M-I-K-E!”

Mike Herman is our new Director of Fun. It’s his job to plan and coordinate the many activities, clubs and events that bring our residents together.

“Fun can mean so many things,” Mike said. “To me, it means joy and a sense of peace. I want to bring that to as many residents as possible.”

A native of Salem, Mo., Mike brings a wealth of experience to our community, most recently as the programs and facilities supervisor for the city of Wilton Manors, Fla. There, he oversaw rentals, facilities, fees and policies as well as managed large special events and holiday functions.

As the recreation coordinator for athletics and aquatics for Brevard County Parks and Recreation in Florida, he supervised activities at 11 athletic parks, as well as designing and managing special events such as the annual Halloween and Valentine’s Day festivals.

Herman earned a bachelor’s degree in recreation, sports and park administration from Missouri State University. He also is certified as a personal trainer with the Aerobics and Fitness Federation of America and has extensive experience as a Red Cross lifeguard and water safety instructor. When not at work, he enjoys hiking, sports, running and weightlifting.

He has Texas roots, having spent seven years in Houston as a kid, and he is thrilled to be back in the Lone Star state.

“I’m excited to be here, learn about the community and get to know the residents,” Herman said. “I want to host something for everyone. I hope to engage as many residents as possible and enhance their social interactions.”

We welcome Mike and look forward to the calendar of fun he is busy planning for us. We know it’s going to be a great year for Trinity Falls!
