Harvest Green - Save the Date for This Important Race

June 23, 2019

Get ready to take another bite out of hunger with the return of the OutRun Hunger 5k Family Walk/Run to Harvest Green on Saturday, Sept. 28.

Why are we letting you know so early? To make sure you can take advantage of special early bird pricing!

The annual 5K benefits one of our favorite charities, East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry (EFBHNM), a local non-profit that provides assistance to families and individuals during times of temporary financial crisis.

This year, we will be discounting race fees for those who register by July 31.

Early Bird fees are $20 for ages 13 and up, $12 for children ages 4-12 and free for kids 3 and under. Adult and youth fees include a race t-shirt. Parents can purchase shirts for their toddlers for $10.

After July 31, fees will be $25 for adults and $15 for youths. Those that register by Sept. 10 also will receive t-shirts. Same-day registration increases by $5 and t-shirts are not guaranteed. For the first time this year, we have a virtual runner option for those who want to contribute to East Fort Bend Human Needs Ministry but can’t make the run. Virtual registration is $25 and includes a t-shirt if registered by Sept. 10.

Do you own your own business or want to donate more than race fees? We have sponsorship opportunities. Sponsors will receive free race entries and their company logo or family name will be printed on the race t-shirt. Bronze sponsorships are $100, silver are $300, gold sponsorships are $500 and platinum are $1,000.

The race starts with an 8:30 a.m. kids’ run at the Farmhouse, 3400 Harvest Corner Drive, followed by a family 5K race at 9 a.m. A DJ, bounce houses, food trucks and more await at the finish line.

Last year ,we raised $13,000 for EFBHNM. This year we’re shooting for $25,000. You can help by signing up to walk, run or sponsor today!
