Riverstone - Commonwealth math masters make mark at state meet

Fifth-graders from Commonwealth Elementary earned top honors at the Texas Math and Science Coaches Association’s state-wide competition recently. The members of the school’s Contest Math Club won a first place sweepstakes trophy for Best Overall, a first place team award in the Calculator category and a second place team award in General Math. Plus, the students won 10 individual trophies and ribbons for placing in the top 10 of the competition’s fifth-grade competition.

Congratulations to the young math whizzes: Nicole Ruiz, Mycah Fairchild, Paarth Maniar, Warren Wang, Charles Yuen, Minali Ganguly, Nicholas Phan, Gabriel Wu and Stephen Zheng.
