Having Fun in Riverstone (Safely)

Riverstone - Having Fun in Riverstone (Safely)

July 28, 2020

Staying distant doesn’t mean staying at home anymore, but it’s still important to be safe while you have fun. Our Riverstone residents have discovered many ways to exercise, safely spend time with friends and enjoy their summer. Here’s what they’ve been up to, inside and outside our community.

Take a Walk

Riverstone has 20 miles of trails to walk, jog or bike along. Most connect to parks where you can enjoy the fresh air, meditate by a lake and wave to your friends.

Take Up Tennis

When it comes to sports and social distancing, tennis is perfect. Riverstone residents can choose from several lighted courts so they can serve up fun even after dark.

Staying Virtual

For those not quite ready to venture out, we are still offering virtual activities. Don’t miss our drive-thru events either!

Outside Riverstone

Our residents are getting out and about in other ways. Many are visiting local state parks. Brazos Bend State Park offers 37 miles of trails to explore as well as opportunities to watch the birds, geocache, picnic and fish.

Create a Photo Journey

Don’t just take a walk, take a photography walk. Use your cell phone or bring a digital camera to capture flowers, butterflies and birds to show off on Instagram and Facebook.

Visit Museums

Fort Bend Children’s Discovery Museum is open and staff is prepared to make it a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone. Tickets must be purchase in advance. Masks are required for ages 2+.

Donate

Our residents are looking for ways to continue helping those in need and if you are, too, consider donating to food pantries, Meals on Wheels and blood banks.
