Riverstone - CASA Christmas Home Tour Showcases Riverstone Home

December 05, 2022

The CASA Christmas Home Tour is back, bringing inspiration, good cheer and a beautifully decorated Riverstone home.

This is the 31st year for the home tour which features some of the most lavishly decorated homes in Fort Bend County. Tours will take place from 10 a.m.- 4 p.m. Friday and Saturday, Dec. 9 and 10. An evening tour is scheduled from 6-9 p.m. Dec. 9. Tickets are $30 per person. A special ticket and wreath raffle bundle are available for $60. The bundle includes one ticket plus three wreath raffle tickets. Holiday t-shirts are also available

This year’s tour will feature homes extravagantly decorated by professional interior designers and florists. Guests will be greeted at the front door by volunteer hosts who will direct them along a pre-arranged route through the home. Festive entertainment and homemade holiday treats will be provided. In addition to the gorgeous home in Riverstone, ticket holders will be able to tour homes in our sister community of Imperial as well as the Fort Bend communities of Aliana and First Colony.

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) is an arm of Child Advocates of Fort Bend, a nonprofit agency serving child victims of sexual abuse, physical abuse and neglect. A CASA volunteer is assigned to every child in CPS custody in Fort Bend County — an accomplishment very few counties have achieved.

CASA volunteers provide a voice for children in the courts. They regularly meet with their charges as well as with their teachers, doctors, foster and biological family and others in the child’s life to assess their medical, educational, physical and emotional health and needs. Their written findings are presented to a judge at every court hearing.

The program serves approximately 250 to 300 children annually.

The home tour is one of the organization’s biggest fundraisers, attracting more than 2,000 guests per year. Tickets can be purchased online. Ninety-four percent of the proceeds go directly toward providing services for abused and neglected children.
