Suburbs Bar and Eatery Focuses on Fun

Woodforest - Suburbs Bar and Eatery Focuses on Fun

July 19, 2023

A new restaurant will open in Woodforest this summer — one that intends to show that “life is still fun in the suburbs.”

Suburbs Bar and Eatery is slated to open by early August across from Harvest Market and adjacent to Clearwater Carwash. The goal, according to restaurant Marketing Manager Haley Bowers, is to create the same fun-loving atmosphere as a sports bar but to execute it in an upscale manner with great food.

“The entire creative process behind Suburbs has been geared to give the community a place to gather for fun, entertainment and the opportunity to create memories with family and friends,” Bowers said.

The 6,000-square-foot restaurant will feature a huge bar stretching the length of the dining area. Here, bartenders will create custom cocktails to customer's pleasure, including the largest custom old-fashioned menu in Montgomery County. Antique brick and wood fixtures paired with modern lighting and rustic finishes round out the comfortable feel.

There will also be a gaming area with Golden Tee, electronic dart boards and Touch Tunes. More than 40 flatscreen televisions will show sporting events including two massive screens which stretch 12 feet wide. A covered outdoor patio complete with fire pits and televisions will be constructed in the fall.

“The goal is to create a sports bar and eatery with a rustic vibe that feels like a neighborhood hangout,” Bowers said.  “I believe that the overall vibe of Suburbs will be lively and celebratory, with a familiar and comfortable feel. If we have guests in that are cheering on a team, we will cheer with them. If guests are attending to celebrate life events, we will celebrate with them. We really want our guests to walk into Suburbs and feel comfortable, as if it is a second home to them.”

The menu will offer scratch-made food, including craft burgers with toppings. Brisket will be smoked in-house and used in multiple menu items. There will be 24 beers on tap, a wine list that includes local and Texas wineries and craft cocktails. Brunch will be served on the weekend.

Bowers said they chose Woodforest because of its immense growth potential and focus on being a family-friendly community.

“We believe that every guest should feel like family,” Bowers said. “Woodforest has done an amazing job in creating a community with a lot of involvement from people in the area. We knew when we decided to open our concept that this was a community that we had to be a part of, and we are so excited for it.”

Suburbs Bar & Eatery will be located at 764 Fish Creek Thoroughfare. Follow their Facebook Page "Suburbs Woodforest" for updates and events. Contact info@suburbswoodforest.com for general information and event requests.
