Riverstone Enjoys Big Sales During Spring Home Tour

Riverstone - Riverstone Enjoys Big Sales During Spring Home Tour

May 02, 2012

Riverstone’s “BIG Things are Happening” spring showcase of homes is bringing even more visitors and buyers than usual into the Fort Bend community, with 20 new home sales posted the first week of the event.

More than 35 homes are available for touring during the event, which ends tomorrow and showcases Riverstone’s range of available housing styles and home prices that start in the $200,000s and climb into the millions. Enjoying robust sales this year, Riverstone celebrated its 2,000th new home sale in March and is now ranked No. 3 by Metrostudy in first-quarter sales among Houston-area master-planned communities. The Fort Bend community is ranked No. 15 among the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities.

“Buyers have responded enthusiastically to the new neighborhoods we’ve opened in the last six months, with sales better than ever,” said Tom Wilcox, general manager of Riverstone. “We are poised to have another record-breaking year for Riverstone.”

Something else “big” happening in Riverstone is an extension of University Boulevard through the community, which, this summer, will connect to another new segment, opening University Boulevard from Highway 6 to U.S. 59. A second major roadway in Riverstone is under construction, a four-lane extension of LJ Parkway. Included in the project is a pedestrian tunnel beneath the parkway.

Starting construction next year is a new 17-acre water park that will feature a resort pool, multiple tennis courts, a pavilion, a playground and an 8,000-square-foot clubhouse. The facility is expected to open in 2014.

Twenty builders offer designs in Riverstone, including Ashton Woods Homes, Coventry Homes, Darling Homes, David Weekley Homes, Fedrick, Harris Estate Homes, Highland Homes, The Manors by Westport (townhomes and patio homes), Meritage Homes, Newmark Homes, Partners in Building, Perry Homes, Taylor Morrison, Toll Brothers, Trendmaker Homes and Westin Homes. Custom builders include Christopher Sims Custom Homes, Lespreance Construction, Peterson Homebuilders, Sterling Classic Homes and Westport.
