Imperial Invites Sugar Land Adventures

Imperial Invites Sugar Land Adventures

July 13, 2020

When it comes to activities, restaurants and shopping, there is no need to travel to downtown Houston when Sugar Land has it all. Niche.com ranked the city No. 3 on its 2020 list of the top places to live in Texas based on cost of living, quality of schools, job opportunities, low crime rate and local amenities.

How can you access all Sugar Land has to offer? You can start by making the move to Imperial Check out all the things you can do:

Make Dinner Plan

State Fare Kitchen & Bar

Comfort food with a Southern flare is on the menu at Sugar Land Town Square. The newly opened restaurant is the second location for this Memorial City favorite. Don’t miss out on the “Texas Red” Beef Chili Frito Pie or the Kuykendahl Burger. Weekend brunch offers Crawfish & Creole Benedict and BBQ Smoked Brisket Hash. The restaurant also will offer its own late-night menu.

Take Me Out to the Ball Game

One of the best reasons to make the move to Imperial is that Constellation Field—  where the championship Sugar Land Skeeters are playing ball — is on-site. The season began July 10 with tickets starting at $9. Stick around after all the innings have been played for post-game fireworks.

Weekends are for Families

After a brief hiatus, the Fort Bend Children’s Museum is open and welcoming families. New exhibits emphasize minds-on fun rather than hands-on interactions. Visitors are challenged to go on an “Epic Adventure” scavenger hunt throughout the Discovery Center to earn the prized “gold” coin and become charter members of the “Adventure Society.”

Pick Some Produce

Taste buds craving fresh local produce? The Farmers Market at Imperial Sugar Land is open and ready for harvesting. Browse fresh fruits and vegetables, grass-fed meats, free-range chickens and eggs, local honey, small-batch foods and bakery items. Visitors can also browse art from local artisans and try delicious, ready-to-eat food from local chefs and popular food trucks while listening to the best local musicians. The market is open from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. — rain or shine —  every Saturday.
