Getting to Know Monica and Megan: Sweet Valentines

Getting to Know Monica and Megan: Sweet Valentines

February 07, 2026

You’ve met them at events, listened to their presentations, but how well do you really know Monica Conchola and Megan Maloney? We’re launching a fun series to help you really get to know these two dynamos. Here are things about them you probably didn’t know.

February is the month of love, and Monica and Megan have precious Valentine’s Day tales that will leave you in no need of chocolate to satisfy your sweet tooth. Let’s dig into their Valentine’s Day memories:

Monica: Valentine’s Past and Present

Monica’s Valentine’s Day recollections are rooted in family. She and her now ex-husband always included their daughters in their Valentine’s Day celebrations, making it a special occasion — and memory — for all. Her husband would put on a suit and tie, while Monica and her two daughters would put on party dresses. The four would then go out to eat at a fancy restaurant befitting their attire.

These days, Monica’s sweetest Valentine’s are homemade gifts from her 7-year-old grandson Nathan. This year, Nathan’s crafty creation was a little card with his handprint on it and a special message to his Mimi.

Megan: Swapping Sleep for Newborn Snuggles

Megan’s most memorable Valentine’s is so touching that only her own words can do it justice:

“Valentine’s Day 2020 will always hold a special place in my heart. Just four days earlier, we welcomed our baby girl into the world, and on Valentine’s Day, we brought her home. I remember walking through our front door with her in my arms, feeling like our hearts had somehow grown overnight. We traded chocolates for swaddles and sleep for newborn snuggles, and I wouldn’t change a thing.

“It was such a simple celebration, just the three of us at home, but it felt bigger than any Valentine’s Day we’d ever had. My husband made it so special with flowers waiting, my favorite barbecue and chocolate-covered strawberries. I’ll never forget how magical and full of love that day felt. Looking back now, knowing how the world changed just a month later — with COVID and everything shutting down — it feels even more precious. That Valentine’s Day will always be one of my favorites.”

We hope your Valentine’s Day celebration is filled with sweet moments and memories of your own!
