Johnson’s Summer School Academy Is Growing!May 06, 2026
Building on the success of last year’s inaugural Johnson Development Summer School Academy, we’re opening it up to the entire Houston region. Last year, we had more than 250 real estate agents apply for a coveted 35 spots to receive a Johnson Development certification. This distinction is proof that you’re ready to handle many of real estate’s challenges — and that you’re familiar with some of the Houston area’s most exciting new-home communities. Students can attend classes that cover a variety of pertinent topics. This year’s program kicks off with an introduction and mixer where participants meet each other and can take new headshots by a professional photographer. Future classes include:
This program ends with a graduation party at a popular restaurant. Participants must attend five of the six meetings to graduate. This year’s summer school is open to Realtors in north and south Houston. Participation for each region is kept at 35, allowing students to ask questions and delve deeply into the topics. As a bonus, each class is held at a different Johnson Development community, giving participants the opportunity to witness firsthand the homes, amenities, schools, retail, and lifestyle that draw so many home buyers to a Johnson community. Last year’s participants said they found the Johnson Development Summer School Academy extremely helpful. “Every speaker they brought in shared invaluable knowledge, encouragement, and passion for the business,” said Massandje “Julie” Diaby with HTX Home Team | Ivy & Co Realty. “Their guidance created such a supportive and inspiring environment that encouraged us to think bigger, move with purpose, and see the real estate business from every angle.” More than 200 real estate agents applied for this year’s academy. The lucky 70 who were selected for the program were informed in early May. The school bell rings May 27 for the north region and May 28 for the south region!
