Cross Creek Ranch - Lamar CISD Board Earns Top Honors in Texas

Cross Creek Ranch families, we’ve got something amazing to celebrate! The Lamar Consolidated Independent School District (Lamar CISD) School Board has been named the best school board in Texas.

The LCISD school board received the honor at the H-E-B Excellence in Education Awards held in Austin this month. The award is no small feat—it’s a testament to the board’s dedication to creating opportunities for students to thrive and ensuring educators have the resources they need to succeed. The award came with a $25,000 prize to help the school board continue their stellar efforts on behalf of the district’s students and teachers.

The Lamar CISD school board is made up of seven outstanding individuals who work tirelessly to support students and teachers across the district. The board includes President Zach Lambert, Vice President Jacci Hotzel, Secretary Jon Welch, and members Mandi Bronsell, Kay Danziger, Suzanne Box and Joe Hubenak.

Each member shares a clear vision: when communities unite to lead with purpose, back their educators and prioritize the needs of students, extraordinary outcomes are possible. Their collaborative approach and dedication to fostering a strong educational environment have played a major role in earning this state-level recognition.
