Johnson Development Again Boasts Top-Selling Communities

Johnson Development once again has multiple communities ranked among the nation’s top-selling — an achievement we’ve celebrated for 15 consecutive years. In fact, we have had more top-selling communities over the last decade than any other developer in America.

According to a recent report by John Burns Real Estate Consulting, Sienna tied for No. 34, with builders selling 432 new homes in the Missouri City community during 2025. Jordan Ranch in Fulshear also made the list, earning the No. 49 spot with builders selling 361 new homes last year.

Both communities were also ranked on the annual tally by RCLCO, with Sienna at No. 38 and Jordan Ranch listed at No. 50. The two companies have different criteria for what qualifies as a master-planned community, which leads to a difference in the rankings.

Sienna and Jordan Ranch both have been ranked among the nation’s top-selling communities multiple times. Here’s why:

Sienna Remains a Top-Selling Community

Sienna has sat among the nation’s best-selling communities for nine consecutive years, with buyers drawn to the community’s many amenities and broad home selection. The 10,800-acre community offers pools and water parks, more than 100 acres devoted to parks and playgrounds, pickleball and tennis courts, fields for baseball and soccer, two fitness centers, and more.

Thirteen builders offer more than 250 floor plans in Sienna, serving everyone from first-time home buyers to luxury buyers with designs priced from the $290,000s to more than $1 million. Many families have started their journey of homeownership in Sienna and then bought a second, third, and even fourth home in the community as their needs changed.

Jordan Ranch Again Celebrated as a Top-Selling Community

A wide array of homes and our signature engaging amenities were also a draw for buyers in Jordan Ranch, which has appeared on the list of the nation’s top-selling communities twice.

Among the community’s pool, lazy river, parks, and other amenities is Sunset Farm, which plays host to special events, a weekly farm stand, and a self-serve grab-and-go cooler where residents can pick up freshly harvested produce.

Prospective home buyers also have been excited about the growing commercial offerings in Jordan Ranch, including Jordan Ranch Market, anchored by a new H-E-B grocery. The center features more than 750,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space and 300,000 square feet dedicated to medical offices and self-storage.

Texas Is One of Nation’s Strongest Housing Markets

More than a third of the communities on both the John Burns and RCLCO reports are found in Texas. RCLCO lists the greater Houston area as the nation’s top-performing metropolitan area, with its communities representing more than 6,300 sales, or nearly 20 percent of all sales among the communities on its list.
