Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers Coming to Spring

Harmony - Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers Coming to Spring

November 08, 2013

Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers is expanding into another high-growth region of greater Houston.

The Fort Worth-based firm has signed a franchise agreement with Houston-area residents Hubert Vaz-Nayak and Glenice Saldanha to open a location in the Harmony master-planned community at 2885 Waterbend Cove in Spring.

The learning center is also close to the Benders Landing, Spring Trails, Lockeridge Farms and Imperial Oaks neighborhoods.

“We’re thrilled to be able to add to Childrens Lighthouse Learning Centers’ momentum in the Houston market.  With a strong residential demand in our area, the demand for high-level educational childcare is greater than ever,” Vaz-Nayak said in an announcement. “We’re looking forward to filling this niche by launching our new center in the Spring community.”

Recent developments, including the anticipated addition of nearly 7,000 new homes along the Rayford Road corridor, have contributed to the demand for learning centers, the company said.

The educational child care facility, which serves children from 6 weeks to 12 years of age, will be one of 10 in the Houston market when it opens in the spring of 2014.

The center will contain more than 10,500 square feet of classroom space equipped with learning tools such as electronic white boards and new PCs. Programs are designed to teach young children reading, math, science and character values.

The franchise projects 50 centers in the Houston area when fully developed. The location will add to eight centers spread across Richmond, League City, Friendswood, Cypress and Katy, plus one in development at 6155 Sienna Ranch Road in Missouri City.

Nationwide, 36 centers are open and 25 more are under development.
