Imperial - Full Development Planned in Sugar Land

Sugar Land, Texas will see more development in the master-planned Imperial community. Real estate development and investment firm, KDC, andThe Johnson Development Corp. announced an agreement to market and develop 55 acres of commercial land in Imperial.

Located at Highway 6 and Highway 90A south of Houston, Imperial is the largest remaining development opportunity in Sugar Land. The development will feature retail, residential, and office components.

“We are excited to partner with a world-class developer, The Johnson Development Corp., to market these sites in Imperial for Class A, build-to-suit office space,” said William Peeples, KDC’s Houston partner. “There is a tremendous demand for new office space in the area, both for headquarter locations and smaller, middle-market tenants.”

Johnson Development recently announced the first residential neighborhoods in Imperial Sugar Land. The development includes 116 patio home sites and 27 townhomes from Sitterle Homes, Partners in BuildingDarling Homes and Trendmaker Homes.

Previously Johnson Development Corp. developed many Houston-area communities including Riverstone, Sienna Plantation, Cross Creek Ranch, Woodforest, Fall Creek, Tuscan Lakes, Edgewater, Harmony, Willow Creek Farms, Silverlake and the new Imperial re-development.

Dallas-based KDC recently opened a Houston office led by Peeples.
