Harmony's New Home Sales More Than Doubled From A Year Ago

Harmony - Harmony's New Home Sales More Than Doubled From A Year Ago

July 21, 2014

Current Montgomery County residents looking for new homes and a wave of corporate relocations have led to a big uptick in new home sales in Harmony where figures for the first half of 2014 are more than doubled compared to the same time period from a year ago.

The 1,000-acre community by The Johnson Development Corp. finished the first half of 2014 with 128 new home sales. By comparison, the community completed the first half of 2013 with 51 new home sales.

Faith Bailes, community and Realtor relations director for Harmony, attributes the sharp increase to current Montgomery County residents looking for new homes and those moving the area to work at the nearby ExxonMobil campus, Anadarko and several other major employers which have expanded or relocated to South Montgomery County.

“About half our residents indicate Spring, Texas as their former residence, so we know there’s great interest in Harmony right in our backyard,” says Bailes.  “Combine that with the growing number of relocating families seeking a new home near their workplace and it’s easy to see why Harmony has become a preferred choice for those considering a Spring master-planned community.”
