The management team of Conroe’s Grand Central Park says homebuilders for the property’s first phase of new homes will be announced by end of summer 2015 while the start of new home construction will begin in the first quarter of 2016.

            “The pieces are coming together slowly and surely,” notes General Manager Virgil Yoakum of The Johnson Development Corp., developer of the 2,046-acre site.

            Details on the new homes and their location within the property will be announced in the coming weeks.

            In conjunction with Grand Central Park, Fidelis Realty Partners is developing a regional shopping, dining and entertainment destination under the name of 3 3 6 MARKETPLACE. This large-scale retail center is expected to open in the later part of 2016.

            Yoakum adds the team is working to incorporate Grand Central Park’s residential and commercial components into the property to create a dynamic, urban approach to living, shopping and dining in a pristine and protected wooded environment.

            Bordered by I-45 and Loop 336 in the City of Conroe, Grand Central Park is one of the largest available land parcels within the Greater Houston area. Located just north of The Woodlands along the rapidly expanding I-45 corridor, it also is less than 10 miles north of the new ExxonMobil corporate campus currently under construction.
