Conroe North-Houston Airport, Minutes from Grand Central Park, Awarded Reliever Airport of the Year

Grand Central Park - Conroe North-Houston Airport, Minutes from Grand Central Park, Awarded Reliever Airport of the Year

April 18, 2016

Conroe North-Houston Airport, located 10 minutes from Grand Central Park, has been named General Aviation Reliever Airport of the Year for 2016, good news for those considering the Conroe master-planned community for a new home or a future new office location.

Presented by the Texas Department of Transportation, the award is a major step toward cementing the airport as a nearby convenience for future residents and businesses considering Grand Central Park for a corporate headquarters, campus setting or other office use, says Shannon League, Director of Marketing for the 2,083-acre property.

“Our proximity to two airports is a major selling point for companies looking at Grand Central Park,” says League.  “It’s also a big plus for home buyers.”

Located at Loop 336 and I-45 in Conroe, Grand Central Park also is 30 minutes from George Bush Intercontinental Airport.

The community’s Business Center District on I-45 will be developed for a Class A corporate campus and smaller office clusters.  Grand Central Park’s development plan also provides for a multi-building civic/institutional campus.

Conroe North-Houston Regional Airport services 62,000 annual flight operations, including 2,500 jet operations annually.

Its soon-to-open U.S. Customs and Border Protection Facility will serve as the northernmost customs clearing facility in the greater Houston area, another positive for corporations looking to relocate operations to the area.  Moreover, the new facility will enable international flights to take off and land directly at the airport, eliminating extra stops at Houston Hobby or George Bush Intercontinental Airports.
