Rayford Road's Four Lanes, Median To Be Extended Throughout Harmony

Harmony - Rayford Road's Four Lanes, Median To Be Extended Throughout Harmony

January 22, 2018

This fall Montgomery County is scheduled to begin an extension of the four-lane Rayford Road through Harmony from the Grand Parkway to Birnham Woods Drive, a key project in enhancing mobility in the community. Montgomery County MUD No. 119 provided funding for the project’s engineering plans.

The estimated one-year project will extend Rayford Road’s four lanes throughout Harmony including a second bridge over Harmony Creek. The MUD is working to complete sidewalk segments on the north and south sides of Rayford Road.

A signal light also will be added at the intersection of Rayford Road and Waterbend Cove Lane as part of the extension project. No major closures of Rayford Road are planned.

The expansion project, covering about a mile of Rayford Road, is expected to begin by October.
